With only two days left until the ship arrives in Tenerife, maintenance on the ship is still well underway. The cadets have been hard at work chipping, scrubbing, priming, and painting the weather decks of the TSSOM. Meanwhile in the Engine Room, freshman and juniors alike gain useful knowledge and experience. This morning, the Main Engine lost a headbolt out of Cylinder Number 4, which will be fixed in Tenerife. Tomorrow morning at 0000, the clock will move ahead one more hour and the TSSOM will be on Greenwich Mean Time; five hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and the our last time change before returning across the Atlantic. The crew is eager to get ashore and explore Tenerife. All is well on the TSSOM.
