The ship departed Pier 36 in New York today, bound for Castine. As we got underway, students were treated to spectacular views of Lower Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. Everyone is glad to be homeward bound at last, with only five days left. Three-quarters of the freshmen have completed their flashlight exams, with only Alpha Company left to go. Everyone is relieved to be almost done, and is looking forward to parent’s cruise and our arrival in Castine.
