What has been your favorite class at MMA?
I’ve taken so many interesting classes that it’s hard to pick! My favorite class for IBL would have to be Business Logistics and for MTO it would be Cargo Ops.
What do you love about the MMA community?
I love the close-knit feel of the community. Whether you’re walking around campus or the town, you will almost always run into someone who knows your name and offers a friendly greeting.
What are your hopes for the future?
My hopes for the future are to be successful! I still have some time at Maine Maritime and I’m excited to further explore my options with the opportunities here. MMA has many positive connections and the name carries weight in the industry – it’s great!
Why did you pick MMA?
I picked MMA because of the reputation and the feel that I got from the campus. The professors are knowledgeable and have always been willing to help. MONEY magazine lists us as the N0. 1 public college and it’s apparent in the faculty, staff, and Academy as a whole.
What would you say to a prospective MMA student?
I would tell a prospective student to stay for an overnight to get the feel of the campus for a day. It will give them the chance to sit through a few classes. I did this with both of the programs that I’m in and it made a difference when picking colleges because I got to interact with the professors and see what it would be like to go to MMA.
