What has been your favorite class at MMA?
My favorite class thus far has been Diesels because of how well it prepared me for real-life application in the industry and Cadet Shipping. The knowledge gained in the lab, as well as lectures, were put to use in multiple applications during my Cadet Shipping experience.
What do you love about the MMA community?
I love the fact that the MMA community is small and that it doesn’t take long for everyone to become a familiar face. I grew up in a small town and this feels like home away from home. The camaraderie and support from fellow Cadets is second-to-none.
What are your hopes for the future?
I want to take the top-notch education I am receiving and use it to become successful in my field of study. I knew from a very young age that this is what I wanted and after Cadet Shipping I know I have made the right career choice.
Why did you pick MMA?
MMA was an easy choice for me. My father and my Uncle both graduated from the Academy and have both gone on to be very successful in their fields. Not only do you receive an excellent education, you become a part of the MMA Alumni, an elite group of individuals who excel in their field.
What would you say to a prospective MMA student?
MMA is the type of college that prepares you for your career with the hands-on training in classrooms, Cadet Shipping, Training Cruises, and Co-op opportunities. It truly is an honor to be part of such a well-respected Academy and I would urge you to take advantage of all the opportunities that MMA has to offer. If you are successful at the Academy you will be successful in your career.
