2015 Schooner Bowdoin

Update: August 20, 2015

Posted on: August 20, 2015

Current position – 43 11.6N, 66 36.3W heading SE for our waypoint south of Cape Sable.

Here we go again, underway on our third and final trip to Nova Scotia for the summer. We’ve seen a couple of whales, a shark and some Mola Mola (sunfish) thus far, despite our visibility having been less than a mile since we left Rockland yesterday morning, motor-sailing through the fog. Unfortunately the forecast for the next couple of days is calling for East to South-easterly winds, which probably means that we’re going to be stuck in the fog for a few days to come . . . good time to practice those radar plots! All well aboard (if a little damp).
