Norman A. Clark ’46

Norman A. Clark, 91, of Manchester, NH, died January 16, 2018, after a period of declining health.

Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, on February 11, 1926, he was the son of Harold S. and Mary J. (Farrell) Clark. He resided in the Queen City most of his life.

He graduated from Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, ME, Class of 1946. Norman served with the United States Navy. Until his retirement, Norman was a plant manager with New England Telephone Company for thirty-five years.

Devoted to his faith, he was a longtime communicant of Saint Pius X Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister. Norman was an avid golfer and enjoyed ballroom dancing.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Norman will be deeply missed and his memory held dear by his family.

Family members include his wife of sixty-five years, Irene (Willis) Clark; three daughters, Gloria Caravella of Ohio, Sherry Martin and her husband, Philip, and Sheila Sylvester and her husband, Glenn, all of Manchester; seven grandchildren; Kristy, Craig, David, Kenneth, Kelley, Jason, and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Chelsea, and Emerson; a sister, Lois Andrews; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Colleen; two brothers, David and Harold; and a sister, Margaret.
