Christopher C. Blanchard ’92

Christopher C. Blanchard, 47, of Wallingford, loving husband of Suzanne R. (Kaliscak) Blanchard, passed away, unexpectedly, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport.

Christopher was born in Meriden, October 29, 1969, a son of Barbara (Benyi) Blanchard of Wallingford and the late Arthur C. Blanchard Jr., and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He was a graduate of Xavier High School, Middletown, and the Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, ME. Christopher was currently employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford as a Lead Electrical Inspector. He was an avid soccer, football and hockey fan, and enjoyed following his sports teams, Borussia Dortmund, the Eagles, and the Flyers. He will also be remembered for his love of working on his classic Volkswagens, none of which ran!

In addition to his wife Suzanne, he is survived by his two children Milo and Stella Blanchard; his two brothers Arthur Blanchard and wife Kim of New Mexico and Robert Blanchard and wife Terry of Wallingford; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Rosemary Kaliscak of Middletown; his two aunts Helen Archangelo and Jean Dzilenski and husband Richard all of Southington; and many nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Thursday, December 1, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
