All Hands on Deck

All Hands on Deck for the Alumni Participation Challenge

The California, Maine, Massachusetts, and SUNY Maritime Academies are competing to see who can capture the greatest number of gifts from their alumni, May 7-21.

Every alumni gift during this time counts toward helping Maine Maritime Academy lead the way and win.

It’s not about which school raises the most money, it’s who finishes with the greatest alumni participation in giving (we can count only one gift per alumnus/a during the two-week challenge). Make a gift online, by phone, by mail or in person…every gift counts!

The Stakes

Winning School: Awarded with a trophy to display for one year. (The school in last place will be tasked with creating the trophy with approval of design from the other schools.)

Losing Schools: Presidents have to wear the logo of the winning school during morning formation.

Participation and the Annual Fund Count

Each alumnus/a who contributes to the Maritime Challenge increases the overall participation rate that’s vital to success for the MMA Annual Fund and the Alfond Challenge where increased alumni participation can yield $750,000 for scholarships.
