STATEMENT OF THE JOB

 

Employee is responsible for the development, administration and operation of residential life programs and facilities, the student activities and welfare and recreation programs, new student orientation, student government:  and Campus Judicial, Unified Alcohol Hearings and Residential Hearings Boards.  Employee provides budget and report preparation.

 

DUTIES OF THE JOB

 

1.Responsible for the operational and program needs of residential students (Curtis Hall and Graduate Commons) and the Residential Life Staff.

2.Serves as contact person for off-campus students regarding housing opportunities, policies, and informational needs.

3.Develops and administers residential life policies and procedures provided in the Student Handbook.

4.Responsible for updating and producing the Student Handbook yearly.

5.Selects, trains, and supervises the Residential Coordinator and Programming Coordinator as well as Resident Assistants.

6.Serves as chair of the Judicial Board and oversee the selection and training of the Unified Alcohol Board and Residential Hearings Board.

7.Responsible for planning and coordination campus wide social, cultural and recreational programming.

8.Responsible for developing programs for emerging leaders and coordination opportunities for leadership with Regimental Staff.

9.Serves as advisor to Student Government, Activities and Bands Committee and Welfare and Recreation Committee.

10.Assists students with academic, personal and vocational counseling.

11.Oversees and participates in on-going inspections of residence hall physical plant and grounds to ensure academy and government standards of health, safety and cleanliness.

12.Advises and assists the Dean of Students with the administration of student disciplinary system.

13.Liaison to medical services for drug testing of independent students.

14.Provides assistance/liaison as needed to other areas of student services including interviewing prospective students for admission.

15.May supervise students and/or regular employees.
