STATEMENT OF THE JOB

 

Performs a variety of general tasks for departments of Maine Maritime Academy including operating Academy vehicles (or utilizes personal vehicle for official Academy business as assigned).  Must possess valid operator’s license and be authorized as an approved Academy vehicle operator via the Public Works and/or Security departments.

 

DUTIES OF THE JOB

 

1.      Operates Academy vehicles or personal vehicle (with authorized / standard reimbursement) to transport official guests and visitors to and from and around the Academy, as assigned by a supervisor.

 

2.      Provides routine information to Academy guests or visitors.

 

3.      Reports vehicle mechanical problems or damage to a supervisor, the Director of Public Works and/or the Academy Security Director.

 

4.      Provides routine manual external and internal tasks as assigned by a supervisor.

 

5.      Provides routine clerical or custodial tasks as assigned.
