STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee is responsible for the design, layout, visual appearance and usability of Academy sponsored web sites. Employee is responsible for creation and implementation of web site standards including graphics, content optimization, and accessibility. Employee consults with and trains faculty and staff in the use of appropriate authoring tools and techniques.

 

DUTIES OF THE JOB

 

1) Maintains mma.edu and mainemaritime.edu websites or other related websites.

2) Creates templates and standards for all Academy sponsored websites.

3) Makes changes to the site design as necessary.

4) Creates site maps to outline each website’s structural content.

5) Translates user’s informational content into a functional website.

6) Creates templates of approved website layout and codes website using HTML and/or GUI design.

7) Coordinates with system programmer for specialized scripts and functions.

8) Submits completed site to search engines.

9) Maintains self-service portals for SIS and Financial systems.
