STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee uses assorted analysis tools to query data repositories and generate reports, identify trends and patterns in operational data, and monitor work flow and procedures as they pertain to relevant systems.  Employee routinely accesses sensitive and/or confidential data, and must adhere to best practices in data security. 

DUTIES OF THE JOB
 

1) Examine and evaluate purpose and content of business reports to develop new reports or improve existing format, use and control of reports.
2) Review reports to determine basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report.
3) Confer with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements.
4) Evaluate findings, using knowledge of workflow, operating practices and records retention schedules and policies.
5) Recommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
6) Prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures or policies.
7) Assess existing workflow and procedures to identify and remedy source of downstream data inconsistencies.
8) Recommend and implement workflow and procedural revisions to address data inconsistencies.
9) Assist end users with the creation and modification of reports generated from the organization’s data repositories, including both scheduled and ad hoc formats.
10) Recommend and implement system changes to achieve budgetary savings and system efficiencies.
