STATEMENT OF THE JOB

 

Employee is responsible for the daily clerical and administrative functions of the admissions and enrollment management offices, under the general direction of the Director of Admissions. Judgement and initiative are exercised. Tasks are normally accomplished within well defined procedures. Verbal and written communication is required internally and externally. Computer skills with multiple applications such as Word, Access, Excel and email/internet are essential.

DUTIES OF THE JOB

1.      Provides general information to prospective students regarding Academy policies in the areas of academic programs, admission requirements, job placement, student life, financial aid, extracurricular and co-curricular programs.

2.      Oversees daily operation of the Admissions Office.

3.      Coordinates on-campus visits and interviews for prospective students and families.

4.      Processes applications, and confidential support documents for admission, re­admission and student physical examinations.

5.      Oversees ACT test procurement, security, scoring and associated reporting procedures as well as schedule and administer the ACT exam.

6.      Responsible for the production and distribution of the weekly admissions report and annual admissions reports as directed.

7.      Coordinates all high school visits for admissions representatives.

8.      Coordinates Admissions open houses and on-campus event planning.

9.      Coordinates secretarial and clerical assistance for the Dean of Student Services.

10.  Adheres to Admissions Communication Plan.

11.  Coordinates all correspondence and mailings to prospective students and guidance personnel.

12.  Drafts, proofs and finalizes correspondence.

13.  Designated safety contact person for Walker House, Pilot House and NROTC in case of emergency, i.e., fires, chemical spills, hurricanes, blizzards, power outages and natural disasters.

14.  Supervises student and/or regular Academy employees.
