ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING REVALIDATION (MEMACE-777)
(This course runs in conjunction with Basic Training Revalidation)
Participants: Minimum 6 / Maximum 20
This class is for any applicant who presents evidence of 1 year of sea time within the past 5 years. This class runs in conjunction with Basic Training Revalidation and allows mariners to complete both courses in the same two days. Day 1 is Part I of Advanced Fire (lecture) followed by Part I of Basic Training in the MMA Pool; Day 2 is Part II of Advanced Fire in the morning followed by Part II of Basic Training in the afternoon, both held on the fire field. Mariners can choose to do just one or take both of them together. This course is completed at Maine Maritime Academy and at the Ellsworth Maine Fire Department fire training field.
Applicants who successfully complete our Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation course will satisfy the advanced fire-fighting revalidation requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(h) (l) and 11.303(d); and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010 provided he or she has been previously certified per Section A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010.
