Community colleges will offer prep program to students seeking MMA admission
AUGUSTA, Maine—A new academic agreement between the Maine Community College System (MCCS) and Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) in Castine will create a clear pathway to a four-year degree for students interested in studying engineering, management, science, or transportation at Maine Maritime Academy. MCCS President John Fitzsimmons announced the agreement yesterday at a meeting of the MCCS Board of Trustees.

CASTINE, Maine – The works of multiple artists of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) will be on display at Maine Maritime Academy in June. The exhibit is scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Guild’s annual instructional conference held each summer at the Castine college.

CASTINE, Maine – The Honorable David T. Matsuda, Maritime Administrator. will address the graduating class at the Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) 69th Commencement on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the Alexander Fieldhouse. As Maritime Administrator, Matsuda is the highest ranking official of the Maritime Administration of the United States. In this role he advises and assists the U.S. Secretary of Transportation on commercial maritime matters, the U.S. maritime industry, and strategic sealift.
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Maine Maritime Academy sailors won the Second Annual Kruger Cup at The United States Coast Guard Academy on Sunday, April 8. The Mariners were in second place at the end of Saturday's races, but finished the event with first place finishes in the final three races on Sunday to secure the victory. Read the full story.
