Thomas Batt is a professor of Humanities and Composition in the Arts and Sciences department. He teaches Composition, Humanities I and II and electives in humanities and social sciences. He coordinates the Communication across the Curriculum program and the Composition division and serves as director of the Writing Center. He joined the faculty in 2005.
Dr. Batt holds a doctorate in Composition and Rhetoric from University of Massachusetts, a Masters of Fine Arts, also from University of Massachusetts, and B.A. from Cornell University. His research interests include teacher response to student writing, composition pedagogy and discourse analysis.B.A., Cornell University
