Join the Southeast Atlantic Chapter for a cookout at the James Island Yacht Club on November 6th starting at 5:00 PM. Gather around the fire pit and enjoy a burger and a beverage. We look forward to seeing everyone. Be sure to arrive promptly for the best sunset in Charleston.

This will be a BYOB event

Larry Burrill ’77 has been named Honorary Captain for this game, as the Mariners play against Catholic University, whose Honorary Captain is Joe Carlini – a Catholic University alum and Larry’s business partner. Watch as these partners are pitted against one another on the gridiron!

Tailgating begins at 10AM, kick-off time is at noon.
Light fare, cold beverages and great conversation provided.
Fair weather or foul.

The Catholic University of America’s tailgating policy states that vehicle access to the tailgating area is via the northern most Hawaii Avenue gate; to park within this area and tailgate, the parking fee is $20 which covers the game ticket charge for those within the car; and the tailgating entrance will open three hours prior to kickoff (to be determined). The ticket entrance is inside the
DuFour Center (off of John McCormack Road).

Pen Bay Alumni Chapter Meeting @ Eclipse Restaurant

You are cordially invited to attend the Penbay Chapter’s fall meeting to be held at Eclipse Restaurant, at 2 Park Drive, Rockland, Maine on Tuesday, November 13th.  Social time starts at 1730, followed by a brief business meeting with election of officers and our guest speaker’s presentation.

We are fortunate to have Cassie and Erin from Educational Passages as our speakers on the Educational Passages Mini Boat Program. The goal of Educational Passages is to introduce participants to sailing, engage students in collaborative learning through international cultural experiences, and increase understanding of the value of the hydrosphere as a shared resource through ocean literacy.  Each year many of the mini boats are launched off the T/V State of Maine on the annual training cruise.

An appetizer buffet will be served during this event

Join us for the Maritime Academy 2018 International WorkBoat Show Reception. In the spirit of cooperation and professional advancement, Maine Maritime Academy and Massachusetts Maritime Academy are co-hosting this reception for alumni and industry professionals. Richard Balzano, Deputy Administrator of MARAD, Maine Maritime ’89,  will brief attendees on the National Security Multi-Mission training ship initiative and other issues related to maritime interests. The event will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, 5 pm – 8 pm, at the River Bend Terrace, The Westin Canal Place in New Orleans, Louisiana.
